chris benz X anthropology

Most often than not, my blog would feature men's wear, given I am a menswear fashion stylist, but there will be times like this that I will feature collaborations between designers and brick & mortars, such as the likes of Chris Benz X Anthropology.

This collaboration, Chris Benz X Anthropology, was released today and I have to say, I do like it! I like clean lines, detail, ruffles, skirts and COLOR! The look of the dresses and skirts makes me want to do a Latin dance, one that will shift my ruffles and twirl my hips, making my dress dance.  There is movement in the designs Chris Benz has created for Anthropology.  The simplicity is seen in other designs like the Palm Canyon Dress or the Mia Shirt Dress, which both pop with color.
Palm Canyon Dress $258

Mia Shirt Dress $258

I could see myself wearing the Aunt Esther Cameo top despite the name. It can be paired with jeans, white pants, olive green pants and even black, which allows for the shirt to be the focal piece. The top can be dressed up or dressed down, very versatile.  The name alone is not one I'd go for, but that's not why we wear clothes, now is it?!?

Aunt Esther Cameo Top $188, which is paired with the Carmen Ruffle Skirt $198

I liked the color scheme and the volume and simplicity of the dresses and skirts.  The one dress that I would wear right now would be the Rhonda Cameo Gown.  It definitely reminds me of a dress my grandmother wore in her heyday, but it of course is not your average granny dress of today.  The dress is sophisticated and shaped to fit your body.  I think the dress will be flattering and the tie detail in the front is very delicate and sensual, which was also seen on the Mia Shirt Dress.
 Rhonda Cameo Gown $348
