I had the chance to attend the CUSP by NM launch in Somerset Collection, Troy, MI.  CUSP is a new contemporary concept by Neiman Marcus. Designed to fit your lifestyle, CUSP hand delivers the latest must-haves from leading designers, plus the best up-and-coming names, in hip store and online environments. CUSP is already in selected Neiman Marcus stores and Somerset Collection was next on the list! 

I enjoyed a contest called "Be The Stylist" where the guests selected CUSP merchandise, styled themselves and were photographed by StyleLine Magazine.  I WON the contest!!! Below is my style:

Above is a collage of the models and my favorite model! There were hors d'oeuvres, black bean pies, which were amazing! Beverages were also there to "keep the party going" and I met two wonderful young ladies! I was styled in a cobalt blue dress, leather vest and lace shirt; I will post to the blog!

Bow Down

I couldn't wait to wear my bow sweatshirt (Forever21), which I was inspired by Instyle Magazine to pair it with a tweed skirt I got from the thrift store! Tweed has been on the runway and is a classic, I must say.  I wanted to wear a wide belt, but that just was not as polished as I'd like, so I opted for this skinny bow belt, which tied nicely into my "bow" theme.

These are my beautiful booties, I have being loving since I received them! I have on leopard socks with them, love that look!

My arm candy is a mix of Stella & Dot and Forever 21! I just purchased a new piece from Stella & Dot, cant wait until it gets here!

                                                           

I was being modelesque in the above photo. I'm told so many times that I should be a model, would love it, but then I can't pick my own clothes, maybe I wouldn't like it so much, hmmm.

I have on my favorite nail color "bubble gum", its just the right pink for me; very subtle, sophisticated...Polished style! My glasses are not a fad, if I don't wear them, I cannot see, jokes on you!

September Buy Bye

So I am starting something where I will tell about my buys for the month and my likes/dislikes for the month...SO lets begin with September!

I love this bow sweatshirt (Forever21), it ties into the whole sweatshirt trend. Now I just have to get one with an animal graphic.  I plan to pair this sweatshirt with my leather skirt and maybe my nude heels (below).  Of course I have a jean shirt (Forever21), like everyone should.  My jean shirt can go with just about anything, but I plan to make it funky, pics coming soon!

So I LOVE this green bag I got from Lulus.com!!! It has a lock&key, which made me feel important..lol. It's a beautiful hunter green, great fall color! I love that it only cost me $50 and I have gotten so many compliments like, "What kind of bag is that," as if it were expensive, SCORE! I saw this Steve Madden clutch at TJMaxx clutch and had to add it to my clutch collection. Not to mention,  I am a real thrifty person and love a sale. I am not ashamed to say, I shop at discount stores and love the SalvationArmy/GoodWill/Consignment shops!

I like heels, but there comes a time and place for nice sneakers and Converse would have to be a good selection, besides my Tory Burch and Coach shoes.  These Converse came from TJMaxx.  The black wedge booties are from Shoedazzle, LOVE them (previous post with them)!  The nude bow shoes(JustFab.com) are AMAZING! They are my right mix of vintage and sexy in one! Also from JustFab, I got a simple black pair of heels for work, which feathers a patent leather heel and platform detail. JustFab was having a buy one get one, who doesn't like BOGO :-)

So I went shopping for a few new tops for fall and found this leopard like top, sleeveless, which can be worn under a blazer to work or out on the town. It has a cute collar as well.

Speaking of collars, check out this COLLAR, it's what got me. So in right now are collars, whether you are DIY or BUY(lol) you are in for the season with this shirt from Forever21! This shirt is also sheer, so the sex appeal is well, appealing!

Drinks on a Friday Night looks like this! This is the first of many "Friday Night Likes".  So, I love the style of the sheer shirt and horses, or animals on shirts for that matter...The jeans I'm wearing are a great fit, I'm not into the ankle jeans, the ones the hit right above your ankle and not down to your foot, but these fabulous boots cover that imperfection.  Oh and these boots, well they are my Shoedazzle.com first buy! The fit is great, they are wearable, meaning you can go three hours on your feet without a headache, that's what happens to me when my feet begin to hurt.  I wore my new Mary Kay Red lipstick and I paired it with my bib necklace from Stella & Dot, I am a stylist there.  Besides being a stylist with Stella & Dot, I LOVE the jewelry and what the company stands for!
