Spring '14 Menswear Fashion Show: Christopher Kane

Christopher Kane Spring 2014 Collection is pure visual happiness! I immediately saw this collection and thought to myself, OMG, YES!!! The optical illusion of geometric lines are amazingly designed and fall in suit with my proposed color trend of spring 2014; red, yellow, cobalt blue, white, black and grey.  My favorite of the collection is the white on white, which white is my favorite color.  I hope you enjoy and there is more to come!

BadGirl RiRi

BadGirl RiRi does her own thing, kills the scene from every spectrum and I love her! Rihanna has songs that bang, like Diamonds, We Found Love, Birthday Cake especially "Cockiness", oohweee! When that song came out I was in Chicago visiting my dear friend and I would get out of the car and just dance in the street when this song came on..."Suck my cockiness..I want you to be my sex slave.." The beat on that song was a definite banger..."I love it, I love it, I love it when you eat it.." Aside from her bangers, she is know to be a chick in the music game that doesn't care, but in a sexy cool, rebel kind of way. She creates a personality that one would want to befriend because you know you would get into some fun adventures, but she looks like she is genuinely kind as well and I love her hair cut! Here are a few pics of her from the Schon Magazine spread:

 

In Love With: Men's Black & White

  

As a menswear stylist, I look at articles of clothing all day and I am really loving abstract black & white paired with floral right now.  Above are a few pieces I saw over the past couple of days and have loved them! I'm a polished woman who dresses in many ways and one may call me dainty at times, while others may see me in my laid back phase of rocking bold colored sneakers...it just depends on my mood!  My favorite piece of these is the backpack! Backpacks have hit the scene and hit it hard with plenty of styles to choose from. I would rock this backpack with the white t-shirt above and a pair of dark camel color cargos with all white low-top chucks...I dare you do!

The "Espis"

The Espadrille has hit the fashion scene and been quit popular.  I first saw them and thought, "Nah, I'll pass," but then I was at one of my favorite places, The Salvation Army and snagged a brand new pair for $4...and well, I love them! I am bored with them so I'll soon paint them, but they are really a nice shoe for the summer.  Your shoes are an accessory and can be an accent or the statement! Menswear does not have to be boring and not just playful for casual wear.  Take a leap and be bold during your work week, I dare you! Music Lover: J.Cole "Born Sinner"

I love music! I think I wake up to it, eat to it, sleep to it, sex to it, clean to it...hell I do everything to a beat.  Music is calming, sensual, makes you turn up and can make you cry if the write words flow with harmony, music is the sh*t! So, I love conscious rap, R & B like my favorite Jill Scott or Erykah Badu even a little Teedra Mosses, gospel, pop and some country.  So, above is the album cover of a guy killing it in my eyes, J. Cole "Born Sinner", to be released June 18th and I can't wait, can you?  I had a chance to listen to it and well, the cd is rocking, definitely will be on heavy rotation in every cd-rom!

I am really feeling the black & white or navy & white trend this season! I prefer the navy & white, but I'll take them how they come.  I am a very into print as well, so these few pieces designed with floral accents is right up my alley.  I love all things beautiful and I am a dainty woman, who loves to dress in classic, modern, bold styles so these pieces are all in my closet or on their way!  I also have a thing with cosmetic bags and when I saw this pouf pouch on the Stella & Dot site, I screamed!!!!!
