Sensual Scents

I think I have found the soft yet arousing fragrance every woman should have!  We have our own body chemistry and its reaction to a fragrance would be different from another woman, but this brand has something for all.  Pure Vanilla by Lavanila Laboratories was sent to me and I couldn't wait to try it; needless to say, I love it.  I am not a fan of vanilla, but this scent is one that is soft and subtle, yet inviting and it lasts!! The biggest thing for me with a lot of fragrances is the staying power.

Beyonce` X H&M

Queen B, King B, mother of the B:Hive, Mrs. Carter; Beyonce` is at it for 2013 and she is hitting it hard.  From the tour to the "Bow Bown/I Been On" song and now the released info of the collab with heavy hitter retailer H&M, she is on a roll.  Beyonce' will be one of the driving forces for H&M's summer campaign featuring pieces inspired by her personal style; DOPE. There will be both a print campaign and a commercial. 25% of the sales will be donated to H&M for Water, an intiative with WaterAid.

Wingtip Sneakers

Comme des Garcons' protege, Junya Watanabe by designer Rei Kawakubo designed his own line thus creating Junya Watanabe Comme Des Garcons who has collaborated with bespoken U.K. leather shoemaker, Tricker's to create this wingtip leather sneaker for S/S 2013. No doubt that this shoe is well-made and street worthy for the gentleman who is going from work to the after-work-affair on a Friday.  This Made in Italy shoe is comprised of a leather upper with a slim rubber sneaker sole, available in navy, white and green.

I like the white contrasting sole and rolled white laces, along with the white shoe eyelets are a must; a sign of quality shoe design keeping the it's uniformity. Check them out here

"Bow Dow/I Been On" Beyonce'

So, ya girl Beyonce' has a chopped-and-screwed track "Bow Down/ I Been On"; Yep, she been doing this since, well since we met her.  I like Beyonce' and even more, I like rap and hip-hop and everyone likes beats, but I listen to the words; whoever pissed her off, she is giving this track to them! Before Beyonce' got with Jay-Z, I never heard her go hard into 808's and rap-type lyrics, but I guess he is rubbing off on her, ya think...Some say she has no identity, some say she is just Queen B, but that's another conversation.

Scent of A Man: Chrome

I love fragrances, I love to smell good and nothing better than a man who smells great! I find myself at the fragrance counter trying new scents two-three times a week, searching for the newest scents, so why not share my finds.  My first and all time favorite cologne is Chrome by Azzaro.  Chrome is one of the colognes that send chills down my spine and warm happy thoughts to my, unmentionable..lol. Chrome is a clean, fresh fragrance with notes of ylang-ylang, jasmine and orris topped with fruits, aldehyde and gardenias; great for both summer and winter time and lasts all day. Chrome is the first fragrance I bought to wear for myself, that is how much I loved it!

"20/20 Vision"

Seeing "20/20" is not just a saying, but seeing through your garments is fact.  I've noticed more and more "see through" garments in fashion and I'm not sure how I feel about it.  On a photo shoot for Styleline Magazine here where I write/intern, we had a Marc By Marc Jacobs bag that struck my eye.

This Marc Jacobs "Clealy" bag (above) $348 here, is not too invasive. There is a zipper compartment in the middle and has a back section for those things that you don't want to been at first sight. It's made of calfskin and PVC, gold hardware and can be worn as a top-handle bag or satchel.  This handbag made me think it's not too bad to wear the clear trend, but some not so much.  Burberry has a clear handbag as well and well, it's see through alright!

I figured if there is a clear bag then there has got to be more see through fashion, clearly..lol.

I found this TerraNewYork Frosty White Raincoat (above) $320 here, which to me is a version of the clear trend, but not as invasive, but I can still tell if you are wearing short shorts and a purple shirt unlike if you were wearing a black coat, hump (shoulder shrug). The coats seams are welded so no water seeps through and is made of 100% polyurethane.

I found these Lanvin clear wedge sandals (above), $1,590 here, which I actually like.  These wedges reminded me of the heels back in the '70's with the fish in the heel, lol, but over fifteen hundred dollars and made of goat and calfskin with a plexi heel, there was no laughing and definitely no goldfish!

This clear trend maybe a hit or miss, but for sure it's happening.  If I could, I would get these wedges by Lanvin mine. What about you?
